Christmas Lighting in Lisbon
Christmas light rental in Lisbon
Our Christmas lighting in Lisbon is a full rental service, not a purchase. We design the display, install it, service it through the season, take it down in January, and store it until next year. We handle the climb and the layout, and because we store the strands, your garage stays clear.
Lisbon winters bring snow and freezing weather, so a rental display has to be built to hold. We use commercial-grade strands, and we come back out during the season if a run goes dark. That service is part of the rental.
When January comes, our crew handles takedown, so there is no icy ladder work waiting for you after the holidays. Each year you can keep the same design or change it. This page uses Youngstown's climate record because Youngstown is 25 miles northeast of Lisbon. There, winter snowfall has ranged from 25.2 inches in 1948-49 to 118.7 inches in 2010-11, and the snowiest month on record was 53.1 inches in December 2010. One winter can differ a lot from the next, which is why removal is weather depending. Lisbon's annual Christmas parade runs downtown in early December. In 2025 the Columbiana County Fairgrounds also opened a first-ever drive-thru Christmas light display, from November 28 through December 21. Lewis Kinney platted Lisbon on February 16, 1803, and named it New Lisbon after the capital of Portugal. It grew on iron, whiskey and the Sandy and Beaver Canal, and it had the county's first bank and first insurance company. The North Country Trail Association's town history dates the state's first iron furnace to 1808, and by 1846 the village had two flour mills, two iron foundries and two woolen factories. The North Country Trail Association calls Lisbon the second oldest village in Ohio. The canal stopped running in 1852 when a reservoir dam outside town failed. The Niles and New Lisbon Railroad opened in the late 1860s, and it and the later Pittsburgh, Marion and Chicago Railway brought in new industry, including the R. Thomas and Sons porcelain company. The Lisbon Historic District covers about 42 acres around the original town square, where U.S. Route 30 meets State Route 45. Its commercial and residential buildings date from 1810 to 1900 and are mostly Federal in style and built of brick. The Old Stone House of 1805, built as a hotel and tavern, stands in town, and the Hanna-Kenty House at 251 East High Street, built in 1838 and remodeled in 1907, is on the National Register. The Columbiana County Courthouse, built in 1870, was remodeled in 1933 with large blocks of stone salvaged from the old canal locks. Little Beaver Creek was the first river in the country to earn both state and national scenic river status, and it empties into the Ohio River just east of East Liverpool. The 1928 route of the Lincoln Highway runs east to west through downtown as Lincoln Way, and the Little Beaver Creek Greenway Trail starts in town.More about lighting in Lisbon, OH

Frequently asked questions
Earlier is better: at Youngstown, 25 miles northeast of Lisbon, the average first freeze comes on October 14. Once the quote is approved and the 50% deposit is paid, your spot is held and you go on the installation list. We text you the installation date and send an alert when we are on the way.
We provide them. You choose from custom commercial-grade lights and decorations, with design, installation, maintenance, removal and storage covered, and we store your lights and decor between seasons, so a Lisbon garage stays clear.
Call us and we come back out when something goes dark. Youngstown averages 67.8 inches of snow a season, so a strand that fails in a snowy week is worth a call from Lisbon. Maintenance through the season is part of the job, not an extra, and it sits beside installation, removal and storage under Complete Care.
Removal starts after January 1st and runs into February, weather depending. At Youngstown the last freeze averages May 6 and there are 43 days a year at or below freezing, so Lisbon's weather decides the day. We take down the lights and decor and store your set until the next season.
There is no flat price, and every display in Lisbon, the Columbiana County seat, is quoted for the individual home, with digital mockups plus terms and conditions. Once you approve it, a 50% deposit secures your spot. Most homeowners spend roughly $800 to $2,000 with us for a season, depending on the size of the home and how much of it is lit, so call (234) 759-3333 or request a free consultation for a quote on your house.
