Christmas Lighting in Clarksburg
Christmas light rental and installation in Clarksburg, WV
Our Christmas lighting is a full rental, not a purchase. We supply the lights, design the display for your home, install it, service it through the season, then take everything down in January and store it until next year. For a Clarksburg homeowner that removes the two hard parts of holiday lighting: the December ladder work, and finding somewhere to stash tangled strands the rest of the year.
Because it is a rental, the display is maintained. If a run goes dark during a cold snap, we come out and fix it rather than leaving you to troubleshoot on a ladder, so service through the season is part of the deal. In January we return, remove every strand and clip, and store the set, so nothing sits in your garage until the following winter.
More about lighting in Clarksburg, WV
Clarksburg lies at 1,007 feet where Elk Creek meets the West Fork River. The 1991 to 2020 climate normals for the Clarksburg 1 station near the city center show 23.8 inches of snow and 48.24 inches of precipitation a year.
Clarksburg WinterFest puts a Christmas parade through downtown on a Friday evening in early December, followed by a tree lighting on the lawn of the Waldomore.
The Oak Mounds, two prehistoric burial mounds, lie south of Clarksburg. The trapper John Simpson was the first European known to claim land here, in 1764, and settlement began in the early 1770s. The town was chartered in 1785, the Northwestern Turnpike reached it in the 1830s, and the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad followed in the mid 1850s.
Glassmaking shaped the city. The Hazel-Atlas Glass Company ran a plant here from 1902 to 1987 that became the world's largest tumbler factory, and the Akro Agate Company moved from Akron in 1914 and became a major maker of glass marbles. Glen Elk, north of the business district, was developed after 1898 and is a National Register district of brick warehouses, small shops, frame houses and the Baltimore and Ohio depot of 1903.
The Clarksburg Downtown Historic District, listed in 1982, covers 119 buildings in 16 blocks, in styles from Renaissance Revival to Italianate. Waldomore, a Neo-Classical brick mansion at West Pike and North Fourth streets, was built in 1839. The Stealey-Goff-Vance House on West Main Street dates from about 1807 and was remodeled about 1891 with Victorian trim, and the Quality Hill Historic District runs along East Main Street.

Booking early is smart in Clarksburg, where yearly snowfall averages 23.8 inches. Once you sign off on the quote and put down the 50% deposit, the spot is yours and the house goes on our installation list. A text then tells you the installation date, and a second alert tells you we are on the way.
Everything on the house comes from us. Clarksburg customers browse our commercial-grade lights and decor, and one job covers design, installation, in-season maintenance, removal and storage, so the lights, ladders and storage are ours.
Phone us and we return to fix it, since in-season maintenance belongs to the job and is never billed as an extra. Clarksburg's record low is minus 24 degrees, set on January 19, 1994, so a hard cold snap is part of the local record.
Taking everything down starts after January 1st and stretches into February, weather depending. A normal Clarksburg year brings about 48.24 inches of precipitation, which keeps that window flexible. Your lights and decor then go into storage until next season.
No flat price exists. Clarksburg houses are quoted one at a time, and each quote includes digital mockups and the terms and conditions. After you approve it, a 50% deposit locks in your spot, and the balance comes due once installation is finished.
The city absorbed Adamston, Stealey, North View and Broad Oaks in 1917, so homes differ from one neighborhood to the next. Most homeowners spend roughly $800 to $2,000 for a season. Call (234) 759-3333 or request a free consultation for a number on your house.
